يهدف البحث إلى دراسة أهم ملامح القاهرة التاريخية في الفترة من بعد الحملة الفرنسية عام 1801م وحتى بدايات القرن العشرين، كما يهدف إلى استنتاج أهم السمات المميزة للقاهرة التاريخية في هذه الفترة. ويتناول البحث دراسة لجوانب من المشاهد الحياتية المختلفة في القاهرة التاريخية والتي تم تحديدها واستخلاصها وفقًا لعدة محاور تشمل دراسة لفئة الفقراء والطبقة المتوسطة بالقاهرة التاريخية على اعتبار أن هذه الفئة تمثل الغالبية العظمى في تلك الفترة، كما شملت على دراسة شكل البيوت السكنية للطبقة المتوسط والفقيرة بالقاهرة التاريخية، وملامح العمارة الإسلامية بأحياء القاهرة القديمة، الملامح الشكلية للمصريين، كما يتناول البحث نقوش ورسوم جدران القاهرة التاريخية، و شكل أزياء وملابس المصريين بالقرن التاسع عشر للرجال والنساء، وفي النهاية تم عرض ومناقشة ما توصل إليه البحث من نتائج لأهم السمات المميزة للقاهرة التاريخية في الفترة من بعد الحملة الفرنسية وحتى بدايات القرن العشرين، وأكد البحث من خلال التوصيات على أهمية الغوص في دراسة التراث المصري بشكل عام وتراث القاهرة التاريخية بشكل خاص حيث تعتبر مصدر استلهام قوي للفنان.


The research aims to study the most important features of historical Cairo in the period after the French campaign in 1801 AD until the beginning of the twentieth century. It also aims to deduce the most important distinguishing features of historical Cairo in this period. The research deals with a study of aspects of the different life scenes in Historic Cairo, which were identified and extracted according to several axes, including a study of the poor and middle class in Historic Cairo, given that this category represents the vast majority in that period, and it also included a study of the form of residential homes for the middle and poor class in Historic Cairo. , and the features of Islamic architecture in the old Cairo neighborhoods, the formal features of the Egyptians, the research also deals with the inscriptions and drawings of the historical walls of Cairo, and the shape of the fashion and clothing of the Egyptians in the nineteenth century for men and women, and in the end the results of the research were presented and discussed for the most important distinguishing features of Historic Cairo in the period After the French campaign until the beginning of the twentieth century, the research emphasized through the recommendations the importance of diving into the study of Egyptian heritage in general and the heritage of Historic Cairo in particular, as it is a strong source of inspiration for the artist.
